Welcome to the website of the Manchester Chorale, one of Britain's leading amateur mixed choirs.2009 is looking very interesting for the Chorale. The spring highlight was, for most of us, a performance of Carmina Burana with Stockport Grammar School choirs, followed by our annual appearance in Raymond Gubbay’s "A Gala for St. George" at the Bridgewater Hall. For the May Bank Holiday we performed in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. June had something of an African flavour, with an appearance as guests of composer Robin Stevens for a concert in aid of work among street children in Dakar, Senegal and a full concert for Cameo-Aid, another charity dedicated to raising people out of poverty in East Africa. June ended with an appearance on BBC Radio Four's Morning Service. We have several performances in the Bridgewater Hall to look forward to and we'll also be celebrating our 30th Anniversary from September onwards. See below and the News page for a little more detail.

Our recent concerts27th June - Another splendid concert raising funds for a worthy charity - Cameo-Aid. Good singing, a variety of solo and small group pieces and an excellent Flute Solo by Daniel Hall were all enjoyed by an appreciative audience in St Bernadette's RC Church, Whitefield. 13th June - For the Senegal Concert, we were guests, together with some brilliant young instrumentalists from the RNCM, of Robin Stevens the Manchester composer, who also happens to sing First Bass in the Chorale. Again, a full house had an interesting and enjoyable evening. We gave the first performance of Robin's choral arrangement of his 'The Song of Life' Click to see larger versions in PDF format.
