Silver Jubilee Concert at Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, Sunday 5th December, 3pm.
The programme hopes to reflect the wide-ranging repertoire the choir has presented over the years. We will be especially pleased to welcome Jeffrey Wynn Davies former Musical Director of The Manchester Chorale, David Jepson (arranger of ‘Thank you for the Music’ and many others for the Chorale) and Bob Chilcott composer of our Anniversary commission.

We will also be delighted to have with us the Chetham’s School of Music Big Band and the Emmanuel Brass Ensemble to help us in our Musical celebration, and it is a particular pleasure for the Chorale to re-establish links with the BBC by having Heather Stott from Greater Manchester Radio to present the show.

Finally, we welcome back to all the former Choralers in the audience. We hope we can do your memories justice!

This concert will include the world premiere of the Bob Chilcott commission.

Bob Chilcott workshop on Saturday 18th September at St Matthew’s Parish Hall, Stretford, 9.30am to 5pm

Please note a reasonable level of music sight reading is required.

"Family Centenary Celebration Concert" at St.Pauls Church Andsell and Fairhaven, Saturday 20th March at 7.30pm

The concert was part of centenary celebrations and was another from our "Concerts in the Community" initiative.

Easter Concert at Emmanuel Church, Didsbury on Palm Sunday, 4th April at 7pm

The programme included Fauré's Requiem (with Emmanuel Ensemble) and Rutter's Gloria (with RNCM Brass Ensemble), plus Orchestral and Solo pieces. The concert was a very well received by a sell-out audience.

Our thanks go to the Reverend David Hughes, Bryan Fox, Ken Griffin, Pauline Jellicoe and the Emmanuel Ensemble for the huge contributions they made to the evening’s success.

Christmas Through The Windows Of The World, Tatton Park, Monday December 15th

This unique illustrated appreciation, in Words & Music, spanning more than 1000 years from the Age of the Venerable Bede in the 7th century, to the present day, will be accompanied by members of the Manchester Chorale who will sing appropriate Christmas music.
