Chorale Composition Competition Winners

Thank you to everyone who entered our Composition Competition.  Judging has now been completed.

Throughout the process all scores have been assessed without the judges or choir members knowing the names, gender, age or nationality of any of the composers.

The judges assessed 175 works, looking for a celebratory piece or pieces that would be appropriate for our forthcoming 40^th Anniversary Season.

The choir sang through a shortlist of pieces in mid-June and their feedback was considered by the panel shortly afterwards.

Following the judges’ final deliberations we are delighted to announce that three composers have been awarded prizes.

1^st    Jack White for When Voices Rise                               £1000

2^nd   Martin Neill with Sing for Joy!                                        £300

3^rd   Lydia Jane Pugh for Your Words Give Light            £200
